Have your child choose a new good feeling and find a fun way to find it. They can then use it to fill the gap where the bad feeling used to be.

Good to know

Make finding the good feeling a creative, fun experience. When your child places the good feeling into their body, give them time to experience and enjoy it fully.

It makes sense to fill the gap with a related good feeling. Fear would be replaced with courage, sadness with happiness etc. If unsure just ask your child which good feeling would fit best.

Enhance the experience and bring it even more to life by making clicking noises when turning up the dial to make the good feeling stronger.

If there are multiple feelings, you would remove and directly replace each gap with a good feeling before moving on to the next object.

Getting it right

The key here is that all gaps are filled with positive feelings. It’s important so the child’s mind knows there is no more room for bad feelings to return.
