At its very core, visualization is simply thinking of something and your brain generating pictures. We do it all the time.
Maybe you’re not sure if you turned off the stove back at your house. Your brain begins doing mindTV and you visualize your kitchen catching fire.
Do you want to know something crazy? Research in this area has shown that our brain does not differentiate between real or imagined (visualized) pictures. That’s fascinating!
That’s why seeing the kitchen burn in your mind can instantly trigger fear and even physical reactions like an increased pulse or sweaty palms. Of course this also works the other way around when you imagine moments of joy and achievement. Visualization is powerful!
Using your other senses add detail to your visualization. This makes the experience even more real.
Imagine yourself in a situation that makes you feel uncomfortable. It can be at the dentist, eating something you don’t like or making that dreaded phone call you’ve been putting off for a while. Notice how this makes you feel.
mindTV is all about finding, removing and replacing bad feelings like fear, nervousness, anger or sadness. Visualizing situations and solutions you can actively influence and change your perception.
mindTV works so well because the answers are already there. The key is pointing the child in the right direction and helping them find their own solutions. Visualization is a highly effective way to achieve this.

Parents are astounded again and again how something so simple can make such a difference. How is it even possible that many issues can be resolves in such a short amount of time, while using mindTV? Because our mind reacts to and responds best to pictures – this is the key!
By closing their eyes and imagining something, their focus is automatically directed inwards. They bring worlds with colors, people and animals to life. Even restless children can do this. The ability to visualize is something that comes natural to children.
It is so real, that when they visualize, they become part of what they see. They are in that scene and can interact with people or things they see.
mindTV also allows children to feel a sense of achievement. After all it was through their hard work, that bad feelings were found, removed and replaced.
It doesn’t take much at all.
Sam has just turned six. He overhears his parents talking about a news story about a robbery. Later that evening, Sam is in bed and hears a scraping noise. The thought creeps into his mind: Is someone breaking in?
In his mind, Sam instantly begins playing this movie. Fear takes hold and is connected to the images in his mind. Sam now has trouble falling asleep. He wants to sleep in his parents’ bed.
With mindTV Sam can go look for this fear in his body. Once removed, he can also reimagine this situation. Again, in his imagination he might see that it was just Garfield, the family cat, that made those scratching noises.
It sounds way to easy, doesn’t it? In many cases it is. Imagination is a powerful thing!
Everything you find here at mindTV comes directly from thousands of sessions with children. They are proven concepts developed with kids for kids. Years of experience have revealed astounding patterns. It’s all about asking the right questions, looking in the right places or activating the right picture in their mind.
For example, we have worked intensely with stutterers. Some see their tongue in a knot or even a cage. Others see their brain as a Ferrari and their tongue as a Fiat. Remarkable!
No other method we know of today draws from similar amounts of actual real-life experience from directly working with children. Their imagination helped make mindTV what it is today.
Of course, you can come up with our own ideas when visualizing with your child. In fact, we strongly encourage you to do that.
We side with evidence-based research and science. You won’t find us cleaning our chakras, staring into crystal balls or communicating with runaway pets.
Nothing we do at mindTV is woo-woo. We see no need for anything spiritual or mystical.

From what age?
The perfect age starts at around 5 years. A lot depends on your child’s issue, maturity and most importantly their willingness to work together with you as a team.
If your child is younger, you may need to simplify the concepts shown in the videos and keep the exercises even shorter. Just try it out. You may be surprised at how well even your 3-year-old can imagine removing his bad feeling and throwing it in the trash.
Of course, teenagers and adults alike can also do mindTV. Turn to our practitioners for help.
mindTV is all about teamwork. Your child must recognize their problem as such and want to solve it. If they participate amazing things can happen.
An example from session
7-year-old Anja has not wanted to sleep alone in her own room for months. She prefers to crawl into bed with her parents. She is afraid a burglar will come. Her fear of the burglar can easily be found using mindTV. Anja describes her fear as a black shadows in both legs. But Anja then hesitates to remove them. It dawns on her that if the fear were gone, she would suddenly no longer have any reason to climb into bed with her parents. Her motivation switches and she now only half-heartedly joins in. She feels her fear will bring her more advantages, than getting rid of it.
Similar situations can also be experienced in school. If children or adolescents feel they will lose advantages through finding a solution, they naturally lack the motivation for change. In such cases, it is oftentimes still possible to work together with them. Experienced mindTV practitioners can make a difference by letting them meet their older, ‘future-self’, to learn and understand why going to school is so important. This can give them the needed motivation, to make a change.

Fears of animals or monsters, not wanting to go to school, being shy and not talking with other kids, blackouts during tests, concentration problems, bad habits and many more.
Experienced practitioners also encounter more complex and peculiar topics where all kinds of other therapies and methods could not find answers. It never ceases to amaze us, what answers children find, when they jump into their inner world and start looking around.
Lots of parents and kids use mindTV as a daily routine. Before bedtime, for example, they go into the Mind Room to turn on the sleep switch or use the Black Rubbish Bag to collect and dispose of any mental rubbish collected during the day.

Expectations & Goals
mindTV isn’t magic. Yes, we help children every day, however many issues, situations and circumstances cannot be solved as if with a push of a button. We cannot guarantee that mindTV will also be able to help your child.
Your child is unique – and that’s a good thing! Some children get rid of bad feelings almost instantly. Others need more time, to work through the layers of feelings connected to their issue.
When learning how to fly you wouldn’t start with loops first, you would practice the takeoff and landing. So, give your child the time and space they need.
A good example is ADHD. This issue is complex and cannot be visualized away as a whole. However, with mindTV it is possible to help the affected child feel more inner calmness and have more power of their body. In addition, linked topics such as anger, feeling misunderstood or concentration problems can be tackled individually.
Ask yourself if your goals are also those of your child. It can happen that only the parents want to solve a problem, but the child itself does not feel disturbed by it.
